For 16 years I worked as an analyst in corporate finance, budgeting, project management, and program planning responsible for nearly $1B in government contracts. Although she worked in the corporate world, her heart was never too far from engaging youth in beneficial programs. For two decades, she worked parallel in both worlds by offering project management and consulting experience to organizations whose sole purpose was to advance youth in the community. In 2019, she stepped away from the analyst role and out on faith to focus on her passion of entrepreneurship and youth and young adult advocacy. The step out on faith decision has proven to be worthwhile and rewarding.
In the last three years she has worked with and positively impacted youth and families more than ever! She has been focused on mobilizing resources in the community by implemented programs that resulted in 20+ workshops to prepare students and parents for college enrollment, helped to organize almost ten Historically Black Colleges and Universities virtual tours, presented tips for public speaking, effective communication, etiquette, and leadership to students ages 5 – 18 in the St. Louis area - in a pandemic! She recently served as committee chairman that awarded $7,000 in scholarship to college students and coordinated the packaging and delivery of college care packages for recent high school graduates in Missouri and Alabama.
In early 2022 she became a Missouri certified substitute teacher to assist with the need for teachers in North St. Louis. She is a youth teacher at church and leadership teacher for a local nonprofit. Mrs. Day believes service to others is supreme! A smile and positive attitude is her natural disposition and she loves working with others. She continues to work her hardest to ensure children, youth, and families of St. Louis are positioned to thrive and flourish.
With over two decades of community engagement, leadership, and service, Mrs. Day serves her community with charisma, passion, high energy, dedication, and excellence. She is supported by her husband, Darian Day Sr., and children Rylee, Ryen, and Darian Day Jr.
